Umbrella Liability
COVERAGE DESCRIPTION: When the required minimum limits of liability are met, an Umbrella policy will provide an additional amount of liability that extends over your basic Auto coverage, Homeowners Personal Liability, or other coverages that include liability, such as Motorcycles, ATV’s, RTV’s Boats, and other coverage type. Limits range from $1,000,000 to as high as $5,000,000.
IS THIS OPTION RIGHT FOR YOU? We recommend that everyone consider adding Umbrella Liability Protection to your policy and the most, if not all, select a minimum limit of at least $1,000,000 of added protection.
CLAIM EXAMPLE: When a driver went left of center struck another car head-on, the judgment was far in excess of the basic auto insurance limits of $500,000, the added Umbrella Liability Policy paid the amounts in excess of the auto policy limits.
