Dear Sir/Madam,

My name is Steve Parker, Large Loss Specialist with West Bend Insurance Company. I have 21 years in the insurance business and have literally dealt with thousands of large property losses during my years in the business. I am involved when a property loss exceeds $500,000 or more.

I was recently called in to handle a large property loss for Skyview Ranch, a client of the McMichael Insurance Agency. The claim involved a fire to a building and its contents, that was determined to be a total loss. This loss will end up being a multi-million-dollar loss when the rebuilding is complete, debris removed, and the income loss is determined.

I first met with the agent from McMichael Insurance at the insured’s location within days of the claim. For clarity sake, the agent provided me with a copy of his email correspondence to the client. The email communication encapsulated a prior phone conversation the agent and client had when the claim was initially reported.

The agent’s conversations, and the email he provided included concise detail of each coverage, along with how those coverages applied to the fire loss. The agent’s attentiveness and thoroughness in placing the right coverage, and the agent’s involvement in reassuring the client they had proper coverage, all equate to a good outcome.

Far too many times I am called in to adjust a large loss where coverage is not correct and unfortunately, after the claim there is nothing I can do because it’s too late to help a poorly written policy. McMichael Insurance made my job much easier and Skyview Ranch should be glad to have them as their insurance agency.

In all my years of dealing with large claims, and the hundreds of agencies who represented those clients who sustained a loss, this is the first time I have ever worked with an agent that placed the right coverage in every respect, provided such a detailed explanation of the events to follow, and instilled such confidence to their client.
