Rules & Guidelines
The purpose of Stand for Generosity is to reward and recognize an individual who has shown Generous Acts of Kindness.
- You cannot nominate yourself.
- We desire to “Thank” an individual for their Generous Acts of Kindness.
- Award may be split among more than one individual.
- Nominee must be at least 18 years old (unless program is age specific).
- The nominator and the nominee do not need to be clients of McMichael Insurance.
- The person nominated must live in the City of Streetsboro, according to the program selected, except specifically noted in the program/contest.
- The nominator agrees to release their written submission to McMichael insurance who will share the information with the public via agency website, Facebook, and other TBD outlets.
- McMichael insurance employees and relatives can neither nominate or be nominated.
- The McMichael staff will pick their top 5 choices, with a guest panel choosing the winner(s).
- The deadline for a Streetsboro High School student is February 16.
- The deadline for a Streetsboro resident age 18+ is September 13.
Our History
The purpose of Stand for Generosity is to reward and recognize an individual who has shown Generous Acts of Kindness.
Stand for Generosity is named after the founder of McMichael Insurance, Lester McMichael, who started the agency from ground zero in 1976. Throughout the years he has shown a lifestyle of Generosity, Kindness, and Graciousness to his family, friends, co-workers, and clients. When we read in the New Testament about the Good Samaritan, you can’t but help think of Lester (and Marianne, his wife of 50+ years). The McMichael “boys” now run the insurance agency and are using Stand for Generosity to thank him for his lifetime of sacrifice, example, and love. Lester and Marianne still reside in Streetsboro and still ask about the latest happenings with the office. Thank you dad & mom!
